북미 펜실베니아 게이레즈비언 타스크 포스를 대표하여 당신들의 젊은 동지인 육우당의 죽음에 대해 우리의 가장 큰 슬픔과 위로를 전합니다. 저는 그의 죽음이 헛되이 되지 않기 위해, 국가인권위원회를 비롯한 많은 관련기관에서 모든 한국의 젊은이들이, 게이이건 아니건, 존엄하고 평등하게 살아갈 수 있는 그런 정책을 더욱 더 실현시켜줄 것을 바랍니다.

On behalf of the Pennsylvania Lesbian and Gay Task Force in North America,
please permit me to extend to each of you our deepest condolences in the
senseless death of your young comrade, Okoodang. I hope that his
death is not in vain, and that the Korean National Human Rights Protection
Committee, and other appropriate offices, will, in response to Okoodang's
death, accelerate the implementation of its recent affirmative policy
so that all Korean youth, both gay and non-gay, will be able to live and
will be able to live their lives with equality and dignity.
